We use Reynolds 725 and Columbus Spirit. These higher quality grades of steel allows us to use less of it, so you get a lighter, more responsive frame.

      E.D Coating

Our steel frames are E.D. coated to act as a rust preventative and a primer. This high-performance rust inhibitor is applied inside the frame and out.

Wabi frames are road-designed with upright angles, and short wheelbases, which creates comfort, efficiency, and predictable handling. Our road frame design gives you an agile and fast ride.

We love the detail of our frames. You'll find cast-brazed dropouts, machined head tubes, brazed seatpost collars, bottle cage eyelets, and brazed forks.

      First bike in 15 years

This bike is perfect for me. Gravel roads or city streets it gets the job done comfortably! Only thing I wish would have been different would be maybe offering a bit more information for people who are just getting back into biking. I probably would have ordered different tires and rims had I known better. But the stock kendas get it done all the same. All in all great experience and great customer service. I just didn’t know what questions to ask!

Excellent ride & has good quality components as expected. Easy to put together out of the box. Shipping box protection is top notch. Give it highest scores for total purchase experience.

It rides more smoothly and accelerates easier than any bike I've had. I attribute that to the geometry, lack of gears and the high quality steel they use. It's hilly here. I got their standard 46x18 gearing and haven't had any trouble getting up any hills yet. Mark

      It's the intangibles

Looking at the spec sheet for the Wabi Thunder, you start to wonder if you should just do and old steel road bike conversion for the money. But, now that I've ridden the bike there is no doubt that this was a great purchase decision. The bike is lively, and responsive; aspects that come from a quality build and materials. Customizing the Wabi Thunder was a very pleasurable experience. I was unsure as to the frame size that I should purchase, so I send the results of an online bike fit calculator. Wabi was very helpful getting the right frame size, but also attached the correct stem and for a perfect fit out of the box. With fender and rack mounts, I'll be using the Thunder for my 'do everything' bike; groceries, to gravel to centuries. Thanks to Wabi for a great product!

      Beauty, Form and Function

The Thunder is an excellent example of the right balance of form and function. The bike is very well constructed from everything I can tell and the components solid and well matched for the set up. I look forward to many adventures, touring, commuting, and joy on this vehicle. Thanks to Curtis and all of the staff that assisted me with this build.
