With 3 different pairs of pawls to engage, the engagement is much quicker than with the standard freewheel. Also, the bearing and race design is more precise. Compatible with all English/ISO Standard 1.37" x 24 tpi hubs and 3/32" or 1/8" chains. Available in 16T, 17T, and 18T sizes. Black finish.
Note: This freewheel uses the BB tool (Park BBT-22) for removal.

Had a little trouble seating the threads onto the flop side of my hub (2012 Classic), however once threaded and secured it's been great for ~100 miles of riding. Was pleasantly surprised with the sound while coasting on the descents around my area.
Without long and involved details, a simple phone call to describe my situation and I was treated respectfully and as a valued customer—and it was my first purchase. I have since purchased a set of wheels and they are dynamite—better than expected. I have this company bookmarked for future purchases
I ordered a replacement freewheel and #48 chainring for my 2012 wabi lightning se .i attached the freewheel with ease , installed the rear wheel and was able to spin the wheel only with great difficulty, hearing a grinding noise and noting small metal shavings. I brought the complete bike to performance in Albuquerque where the technician noted the same issue. He stated that a small amount of overage on the wheel thread causes the problem , he easily ground some material from the freewheel and the wheel itself. It solved the problem immediately, the wheel works now flawlessly. I returned home, installed the new chainring (after cutting the new chain short) and noted during the first ride that the ring is a #42. I contacted wabi customer service who very graciously agreed to send me a # 48 , and reimburse me for the first ring upon return for which he provided me with a return package at no charge. I will need to buy a new chain as the previous one will not accommodate the bigger, correct chainring. I will state that the bike is the best I ever had , it's being used daily and I really enjoy the bicycle , however the replacement parts have some room for improvement.
Jan, I am sorry you weren't happy with the freewheel. Wabi sells exactly the same parts regardless of whether you buy the bike or just the freewheel. They literally all come from the same bin. Your order #1990 specified a 42 ring, which is the reason we sent that one. Hope you keep enjoying the bike!
"A freewheel isn't the most exciting bike part. That said, it was exactly as described. I carefully installed it on my hub without issue. I been riding almost exclusively on the freewheel (vs. the fixie side of the hub) since I installed it -- I don't know, maybe 500ish miles. The freewheel has been flawless as one would expect it to be. It sounds good when coasting; not annoyingly loud. It locks up quickly when pedaling. Overall, it is exactly what I expected. Install it and forget that it's there; it just works without a fuss. "
It installed easily on the flop side of the hub and works smoothly.
