If you love the Wabi Classic but want a bit lighter weight and higher-performance components, check out the Classic Pro. With our Sub 15 wheels, the excellent SRAM Force brake calipers, SRAM S300 crankset, GXP BB30 bottom bracket, Lizard Skin DSP tape, a deluxe freewheel and Continental Grand Prix 5000 tires, this bike is ready for the most serious rides. Note: The SRAM S300 crankset is available only in black, so all builds will have a black crankset.

At just over 18 pounds, the Wabi Classic Pro is lighter than the base Classic, due to lighter components and narrower tires. Based on the same frameset as the Classic, both are made from Reynolds 725 Chromoly steel. As a double-butted tubing, Reynolds 725 has thinner walls throughout its length while its critical connection points are thicker to allow for stronger welds. It’s also heat-treated for greater durability and rigidity than the more-common 4130 Chromoly steel used in lower-end framesets. TIG welded by hand, this frame is as strong as it is sleek.

Every Wabi is assembled to order, so you can have drop bars, riser bars, bullhorns, compact drops, all at no extra charge. Tell us what gearing you want, upgrade your wheels or tires, or let us know about anything else you've seen on a Wabi (or another bike) and we'll build your bike the way you want it.

For Fall 2019, the Classic Pro is available in Midnight Blue and Mineral Gray. You can also choose your component colors as black (with black chain) or silver (with gold chain). If you want a color modification, let us know in the checkout comments.

The SRAM S300 crankset is available only in black, so all builds will have a black crankset.

We use Reynolds 725 and Columbus Spirit. These higher quality grades of steel allows us to use less of it, so you get a lighter, more responsive frame.

    E.D Coating

Our steel frames are E.D. coated to act as a rust preventative and a primer. This high-performance rust inhibitor is applied inside the frame and out.

Wabi frames are road-designed with upright angles, and short wheelbases, which creates comfort, efficiency, and predictable handling. Our road frame design gives you an agile and fast ride.

We love the detail of our frames. You'll find cast-brazed dropouts, machined head tubes, brazed seatpost collars, bottle cage eyelets, and brazed forks.

    Classic pro

The craftsmanship ship on the frame is out standing, the ride is a dream. Lots of compliments. The upper end wheels were not true, and the break levers were not torqued enough which caused them to slip closing the calipers, Had the wheels trued and redid the levers. It is more then a bike, It is a piece of ART

    A real joy to ride

I've been eyeing a Wabi bicycle for at least three years, although I only bought one just over a month ago. If there's one thing I really wish I could change it would be to have purchased sooner. I wasn't sure I was fit enough to ride a single speed as a mostly-just-commuting-40-something casual cyclist. I wasn't sure the terrain was flat enough around Boulder, CO. That Henri Desgrange quote, "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over 45. Isn’t it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailleur?" had me thinking it was a ****** idea. But I bought one anyway. And it is FANTASTIC. I may not be riding up the canyons of the Front Range on it, but for the rolling plains here it is an incredible experience. I thought this bike might just be a fun if extravagant commute ride. But it is so much more. It's so incredibly light and responsive, beautifully quiet and smooth. I can do 25+ mile rides so easily. I pass geared bikes on inclines. It's just incredible fun and, perhaps irrationally, makes me want more single speed bikes... *Eyes Wabi Thunder Elite*

    I love my Wabi

This bike is beyond smooth. It is super responsive and also very comfortable to ride. I use it for workout and for riding around in the city. I told Curtis I wanted the bike to be set up as a fixed gear - no problem! The team at Wabi is efficient and accommodating. Very satisfied customer.

    Blown Away

The Wabi Classic Pro is a revelation. I never knew a bike could be so responsive and efficient. It is really quick off the line and it climbs hills like nothing else I've ridden. This single speed Wabi runs circles around all the bikes I've ever owned. I've found my happy place with the Wabi. I'd like to thank Curtis Kline for the quick, friendly response when I had a glitch in my order. Wabi definitely gets high marks for customer support on top of selling a brilliant bike.
