Wabi Special Frameset
Our lugged frame features a timeless aesthetic that can go more retro or modern depending on how you design it.
Our current colors are Anthracite Gray, a dark charcoal gray, and Topaz Blue, a metallic blue (formerly called C-Foam).
NOTE: Due to very limited inventory, we are restricting frameset sales on certain sizes to ensure we have inventory for bike builds. We are currently looking at mid Summer for new stock to be available.

We cannot guarantee the fit of any specific component set other than the ones we sell with our complete bikes. If you are planning a specific build please contact us to see if we are aware of any issues. Even so, we will be unable to offer refunds based on lack of fit with any third-party components.
We use Reynolds 725 and Columbus Spirit. These higher quality grades of steel allows us to use less of it, so you get a lighter, more responsive frame.
Our steel frames are E.D. coated to act as a rust preventative and a primer. This high-performance rust inhibitor is applied inside the frame and out.
Wabi frames are road-designed with upright angles, and short wheelbases, which creates comfort, efficiency, and predictable handling. Our road frame design gives you an agile and fast ride.
We love the detail of our frames. You'll find cast-brazed dropouts, machined head tubes, brazed seatpost collars, bottle cage eyelets, and brazed forks.
I bought just the frame (without the fork and headset) to replace my old one. All the other parts had already been upgraded over the years and this was the final addition. The color and construction are beautiful, the frame fits like a glove and rides like a dream. Im truely shocked at how much of a difference this frame made in the feel of my bike. The only quirk I noticed was that only about half of the track ends are usable, if you slam the wheel too much you start to run into tire clearance issues with the seat tube. This is only really an issue when you want to use the same chain with multiple different sizes of cogs like I do. I ended up getting my chain link into a sweet spot with a half link so its all good.
Hands down, this frame set deserves quality components, without question. "No cutting corners here". This Wabi Special/Retro frame set is your V.I.P. ticket (your foundation to a truly superlative build). Keep in mind that if you're reading this review; you have done your due-diligence, just like I have. For the fixed/single speed aficionados, Wabi is the pinnacle choice! While I continue to put down and soak up the kilometers on my current and brand spanking new 2019 decked-out, Midnight Blue, Wabi Retro; I ponder the concept of "N+1" ownership regarding bicycles? I see myself owning (purchasing;....happily) a "BESPOKE WABI" in Reynolds 853 or 953 lugged of course, frame set! FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Brilliant frameset, great service, superb follow-up support. Very happy!.
"not only I bought a great frameset, but Matt has been incredibly proactive, got interested in what I was building, involved a friend for a special painting on the frame. he even nicknamed it perfectly: "bonehead". now I have the coolest bike ever, at a great price. you should all buy your bikes here. all. of. you."
