If you only ride a set constant speed, then wheel weight isn't much concern. However, in the real world, there is always a change in pace - terrain, wind, traffic or the random urge to just "go".
Reducing rotating weight greatly increases the responsiveness of your bike and are just all around more fun to ride - when you press on the pedal, the bike "jumps" forward with an eager liveliness that is addicting.
This wheelset features double wall, aero profile 7301 A Rim. With a combined weight of 1475g these hand built wheels have final tensioning, lateral and vertical truing and pre-stressing, done here at Wabi Cycles in Colorado. Wheels include rim strips, and a lock ring for a fixed cog. The rear hub is a flip-flop design, fixed threading on both sides allows the use of fixed or freewheel on either or both sides of the hub.

- Silky smooth sealed bearing hubs
- Bolt on design is lighter than nuts and doesn't damage dropouts

I only got these recently, so can't vouch for durability yet. I'll upgrade the star rating to 5 assuming they hold up well. Arrived quickly and true. I actually only bought them because Wabi was out of their regular wheelset as a component, but I was kind of shocked by the difference in feel between the two sets. I had no issues with the regular Wabi wheels, but have to admit that these make a really noticeable difference (positively) in the way my bike rides. Definitely zippier, to the point where I'm still getting used to it!
Perfect out of the box & almost 4lbs lighter than what they replaced. Glad you guys brought these back
Nice wheels. Good on road and light gravel. It would be nice if there was some branding on the wheels from Wabi. I would recommend these wheels. Price isn't bad.
Nothing like this in the UK, so an expensive route for sure, but worth it for the responsive feel of the bike.....ie smiles per mile increase.
Very happy with purchase.
