DESCRIPTION
The Wabi Classic Frameset combines Reynolds 725 steel, clean TIG welds, a brazed steel fork, and a rich wet-paint finish to create a simple, smooth, and versatile foundation. It’s hand-built with classic details and modern ride quality, making it a great starting point for almost any build.
Lightweight Steel Construction. The Classic uses heat-treated, double-butted Reynolds 725 chromoly steel to achieve a ride that’s both lively and surprisingly light for a steel frame. The oversized tubes are TIG-welded with clean, minimal lines that keep the frame responsive, comfortable, and quick on everything from relaxed spins to longer rides.
Artisan Craft & Finish. Every frame is hand-built by skilled artisans with roots in Japanese frame-building traditions. You can see it in the alignment, the smooth welds, and the overall finish. The frame gets a traditional wet-paint job followed by a clear coat, giving each color a deep, polished look.
All-Ride Geometry. The Classic is balanced for just about anything. Its geometry offers long-distance comfort while still feeling quick and confident through city streets and tight corners. It stays smooth, predictable, and easy to trust no matter where you take it.
Precision Steel Fork. Performance Headset. The tapered chromoly fork is brazed for strength and feel, with an investment-cast crown and forged fork ends for solid handling. It uses a 1 1/8" steerer for modern stiffness and comes with our Wabi Pro headset, made by FSA using their well-regarded Orbit-X design with sealed cartridge bearings.
Small Details for Real Use. Extra-long forged track dropouts make wheel placement easy, and the integrated seatpost collar keeps the frame looking clean and classic. The frame also includes mounts for two bottle cages and discrete eyelets at the fork and rear dropouts if you want to add fenders or a rack.
Colors and Customization. The Classic currently comes in Ion Blue (a dark metallic blue) and Willow Green (a glossy olive green). Custom colors are also available—see our FAQ for how that works. Plus, choose a silver or black headset from the dropdown.
